Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on November 1, 1949, Ann was the daughter of Francis and Irene Cosgrove. She graduated from Regis College and earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania.
Ann dedicated part of her career to Grace Lutheran Nursery School, where she worked for nearly 15 years, but her greatest contribution was the 35 years she spent volunteering with the Marple Township Ambulance Corps. She was a devoted parishioner at Saint Anastasia Roman Catholic Church and an active supporter of her children’s schools, especially the Marple Newtown Tiger Band.
Above all, Ann treasured her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her family was the heart of her life, and she found immense joy in time spent with her grandchildren.
Ann is survived by her husband of nearly 52 years, David W. Ehret; her children, Brian (Emily) Ehret, Katie (Tom) Coletti, and Danielle (Kyle) Morley; her grandchildren, Lia, Claire, Benjamin, Allison, and Everett; her sister, Maureen (Mickey) Sawyer-Brown; her sister-in-law, Susan (Bill) Cobb; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Irene Cosgrove; her brothers, Joseph Cosgrove (Barbara) and Gerard Cosgrove; and her brother-in-law, Joel Ehret.
A celebration of Ann’s life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church of Broomall, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, August 16, with a viewing at 10 a.m., a service at 11 a.m., and a reception to follow.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation (Parkinson.org).
Ann’s family extends their deepest gratitude to Caring Hospice and Wesley Enhanced Living Main Line for the exceptional care and compassion they provided.
