

Grace Clara Hoover, 92, of South Coventry Township, passed away peacefully in her Spring City home on March 15, 2024. She was born on March 17, 1931, in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, to the late Jesse Baro Sr. and Margaret (Pachuilo) Baro.
Grace's passion for music and teaching shaped her life's journey. After graduating from Pottstown High School, she pursued higher education at West Chester University, earning her Bachelor of Science degree. Her dedication to music education led her to serve as a beloved music teacher.
During her university years, Grace shared her love of music with Joseph S. Hoover Jr., and their shared passion blossomed into a lifelong partnership. Grace and Joseph remained active members of local choirs, including the Bach Choir of Bethlehem and Coventry Singers of Pottstown.
On June 16, 1956, Grace exchanged vows with Joseph S. Hoover Jr. at Christ Church in Pottstown. Grace's commitment to music extended beyond the classroom; she also served as a music teacher at Devereux Foundation, Choir Director for Christ Church of Pottstown, and offered private music lessons.
Devoted to her family, Grace radiated love and compassion, especially towards those in need or facing hardship. She is survived by her husband, Joseph S. Hoover Jr., children Christopher, Megan (Gerg), and Reed Hoover, brother Jesse Baro Jr., four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her brothers Angelo, Gabriel, William, Lawrence, and Anthony Baro, and sisters Gloria Baro, Carmella Gerber, and Elizabeth Chieffo.
Grace Clara Hoover's legacy of love, dedication to music, and kindness towards others will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the communities she served.
A memorial service to celebrate Grace's life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 11:00 AM Christ Episcopal Church 316 E. High St Pottstown, PA 19464, Fr. Joshua Caler presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church of Pottstown. https://christpottstown.org/giving
