John G Cassidy went to rest with his Lord & Savior on January 31, 2025. He was 90 years old, born on June 13, 1934 to the late Fred Cassidy Sr. and Catherine McGuckin Cassidy. He was a life long resident of Delaware County, PA.
John spent most of his working life at Sun Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company, Chester, PA and Wallingford-Swarthmore School District.
He enjoyed reading, history, air shows, car shows, love of his country, and spending time with the love of his life, his wife Evelyn.
He was a paratrooper in the Army Aircorp during the Vietnam War era and was a faithful Irish Catholic.
He is survived by his niece, Andrea Cuddy (Tom), great nieces & nephews and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Drake Cassidy, their son Robert, sisters Dorothy Miles Ewing, Catherine Cassidy, and Jane Cassidy and brother Fred Cassidy Jr.
Services will be private.
