Linda spent her working life as an Office Manager in the apparel industry for Alfred Angelo. When she was not working, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Kurt, her daughters (Christine and Kelly) and their husbands (Michael and Justin), her brothers (Dennis and Jimmy), her sister (Jody) and fiancé (Nick), and especially her granddaughters (Maddie, Lindsay and Brooke). Linda and Kurt traveled extensively, visiting all 50 US states. They went on many cruises to places such as Alaska and the Caribbean along with visiting Hawaii and Paris. Chincoteague, VA was one of their favorite spots for vacation, where Linda enjoyed watching the wild horses, admiring the wildlife and fishing off the dock. Linda also spent time in China for work. Linda and Kurt loved taking their beloved granddaughters, Maddie, Lindsay and Brooke, on annual vacations to places such as Mystic Pizza (from the movie), in Connecticut; The Mayflower, in Massachusetts; Red Rocks, in Colorado; Washington, DC, where they had a personal tour of The White House; and many of the National Parks in Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota and Colorado. One of Linda’s favorite spots was Glacier Park, where she loved seeing the glaciers and wildlife. She was on the lookout for moose and bears, especially the bear cubs. Linda also loved casinos, visiting Las Vegas many times over the past 30 years. She often would take her parents, Barb and Ron, who also enjoyed Vegas as much as she did. They would make day trips to Oatman, AZ (old route 66), to see the donkeys and old towns. In her younger years, she enjoyed boating on Cedar Lake, IN and camping, in the pickup camper, with family (Kurt, Dennis, Jimmy, Jody, Christine, Barb and Ron) at Arrowhead Campground, IN. She was also a supportive sister to Jimmy, Dennis and Jody.
Linda was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan, cheering on the Eagles and Phillies. For the last few years, her and Kurt would travel to Clearwater, FL for Phillies Spring training, which they enjoyed with Jody, Nick and all their friends from E’s Irish Pub, in Warminster, PA. Linda enjoyed many events with her E’s friends, whether they were going to a Phillies games, fishing trip or visiting the Poconos for the Cardboard Classic.
Linda’s famous pierogis started after marrying Kurt. She enjoyed her first Christmas Eve Polish dinner with her in-laws, Victoria and Kurt Alberson Sr., Nadine Jacobs, Sharon Scudder and Mark (Bonnie). Soon after, she eagerly learned how to make cheese and onion pierogies, and continued the traditional Polish Christmas Eve dinner, after moving from the Chicago suburbs to the Philadelphia suburbs, in the early 1980’s.
Linda was the definition of a matriarch in every way, always planning birthdays, family vacations, Sunday dinners and just making sure her family had everything they needed. To say life will not be the same without her is an understatement, as she was the backbone of her family and will be missed profoundly.
Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kurt, her daughter Christine (Michael), her daughter Kelly (Justin) and her granddaughters Madeline (Maddie), Lindsay and Brooke, her brother James (Jimmy), her sister, Joanne (Nick), and many other friends and family. In addition to her parents (Barbara and Ronald), she is preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Keane.
