Michael Scott Frankenfield, 44, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, after a long battle with brain cancer. He was surrounded by his mother, stepfather, brother, and girlfriend. The last voice he heard was that of his daughter, Cadence Frankenfield, on speakerphone.
Born on October 1, 1981, in Allentown, Michael was the son of Georgianna DeLacey-Pabst and Gary Frankenfield, and the stepson of Robert Pabst.
Michael loved spending time with family and friends, and was affectionately known as “Frank” by many of them, especially those who helped him invent Hack Tennis. He never met a stranger. An avid collector of sports cards and vintage toys, Michael set up weekend stands at local farmers’ markets, where he bought, sold, and traded collectibles while meeting new people. He had a natural ability to connect with everyone he encountered.
He also held an affinity for True Romance or any movie that featured Robin Williams. His favorite bands were Sublime and 311, and his favorite comedian was Adam Sandler. He had a particular fondness for Homer Simpson and always rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles no matter the odds. These favorites, however, never compared to the fatherly pride he felt for “my sweet little baby girl,” Cadence. In the end, nothing mattered more to him than to have been loved by her.
Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Charolette Dixon; his uncle, Frank DeLacey; his maternal grandparents, Oden DeLacey and Helen Walters; his step-grandfather, Jobie Walters; and his paternal grandparents, Robert Frankenfield and Iris Stanley.
In addition to his parents, stepfather, and daughter, Michael is survived by his brother, Billy DeLacey; his stepsisters, Tara Marra and Corrie Pabst; and his girlfriend, Jessica Dech. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that donations be made to a fund established for Cadence (https://gofund.me/e33c6a2c4) to support her through significant life events and milestones that Michael would have cherished attending.
