Rita was an avid gardener and caring environmentalist. She was also a talented artist—it brought her great joy and happiness to paint and share her love of art with others. Her creative talent was also expressed in her love of cooking, especially for her family.
Rita had a lifetime commitment as an associate with the Medical Mission Sisters in Philadelphia. She also loved to share her knowledge of holistic natural healing modalities with her many friends and family.
Rita loved her husband Kurt Maute, 3 children, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons dearly. Rita is survived by her dear husband Kurt, her daughters Ingrid and Linda (Brian), her grandchildren Michelle, Ethan, and Ian (Allison), and her 2 great-grandsons Daniel and Nolan, her sister Luise, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her beloved son Peter.
A celebration of life will be held for close family and friends at a future date.
