Born on August 9, 1937, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Anthony was the son of the late Andrew Ervin Davenport Sr. and Ruby Mae (Harrell) Davenport.
Anthony was a hardworking and devoted family man who spent more than 30 years as a truck driver for New Penn. Throughout his many years on the road, he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family.
Away from work, Anthony enjoyed the simple things in life and, most of all, the time he spent with the people he loved. He enjoyed trips to the beach, hunting, watching football, and especially camping with his children at Raystown Lake. Those trips and the memories made together became a treasured part of his family’s story.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra J. Davenport, as well as his children and grandchildren, who will carry with them the many memories, traditions, and lessons he leaves behind.
Anthony will be remembered for the life he built, the years he devoted to his family, and the many moments shared with those fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
