He is survived by his father John C. Righi, mother, Nonie Righi, sister, Dominique Buterbaugh, brother-in-law, Isaac Buterbaugh, and nieces, Haley, Madison, and Julie Buterbaugh.
Christopher grew up in Newville where he attended and graduated from Big Spring High School. While he had a few odd jobs, he remained a dedicated member of the family business, working under his father John C. Righi, for 20+ years.
Christopher loved vacationing. He enjoyed any vacation that came his way, but was particularly fond of cruises and trips to Atlantic City with loved ones. A favorite weekend trip was to see Monster trucks in action.
Chris always enjoyed playing sports and often participated on the bocce ball, softball, bowling, and dead weight lifting teams and enjoyed yard games such as corn hole. He also enjoyed movies, especially the funny ones and video gaming. He loved swimming and driving. He drove jet skis, boats, mowers, and large machinery. He loved anything with a motor: cars, trucks, monster trucks, and tractor pulls! He always pointed out airplanes flying in the sky.
There is a celebration of his life for him on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Newville Fairgrounds. Please wear a funny shirt, and join us to eat, chat, and celebrate a life full of adventure!
