

Doris Mae (Walsh) Swearingen, (born on May 15, 1923) passed away peacefully to Heaven on June 27, 2026.
Doris was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harry Clarence and Jennie Myrtle Walsh. Her husband, William Earl, preceded her in death.
Surviving are four children, Cheryl Lynn (Swearingen) Ehmer, wife of James C. Ehmer of Danville, PA, Debra Lee (Swearingen) Sheffer, wife of Rev. Gregory L. Sheffer of Mechanicsburg, Scott Van Swearingen, husband of Brenda (Bolig) Swearingen of Mechanicsburg, and Tami Sue Swearingen of Mechanicsburg. Doris is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters and one granddaughter.
Doris considered her children and grandchildren the wealth of her life. Her joy revolved around her family and friends.
Doris was an employee of the West Shore YMCA and spent many years as a Secretary-Bookkeeper in the Harrisburg area. She was a member of the Kabob Hiking Club, many bowling leagues, Grace United Methodist Church in Lemoyne, and was an active charter member of the Hampden Township Civic Club.

Services and burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be private.
