Harold Shaulis

Mr. Harold Shaulis of Harrisburg passed away late Thursday evening at his home. He was born and raised in Somerset, PA. As a young man, he worked for Singer Sewing Machines and then became a manager for Kay Jewelers. In later years, he worked for Bob Evans Farms as a delivery salesman.

He spent 20 wonderful years in Cocoa Beach, FL, a place he called "paradise". He loved the warm and sunny climate and being outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, and watching the ships come and go at the docks.

He is survived by two siblings, Ruth Ream and Roy Shaulis, both of Somerset. Also, his daughter, Patricia Pigeon, son-in-law, Michael Pigeon, and two grandsons, Michael and Cory, all of Harrisburg. His daughter was by his side as he took his final breaths.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011, 11:00 am, at 29th Street United Methodist Church, 750 South 29th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:00 am.
