Janet L. Jacobs

Janet L. Jacobs, 87, of Spring Grove, PA, passed away peacefully at her home, October 20, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born March 2, 1938 the second daughter of the late Emory L. & Elma (Gruver) Staub. She was the wife of John R. Jacobs, Sr, whom she was married to for 67 years before his death in 2021.

Janet is survived by four children, John R. Jacobs, Jr, and his wife Wanda, Wayne L. Jacobs, and his wife Debora, Thomas E. Jacobs, and his wife Kelly and Susan A. Smith, and her husband Keith. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, also many nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Geraldine Martin.

Janet loved life. She was always happy and smiling and enjoyed socializing and being around people and supporting those who needed assistance. She enjoyed cooking and baking and working outdoors in her flower beds, keeping them beautiful. She was meticulous, some even saying a perfectionist. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, “Rich” taking many trips across the states particularly out West, and wintering in Florida.

She was a long-time member of the Pigeon Hills Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. There will be a Memorial Service held Sunday November 9, 2025, 4:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1620 Youngs Road, Hanover, PA 17331. A private internment is planned.
