

Janice Helene (Reich) Copenhaver, 92 of Lebanon passed away peacefully at the Lebanon Valley Home on October 14, 2025. She was born in Lebanon on January 24, 1933, daughter of the late John I. and Marietta (Weidman) Reich.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, LeRoy E. Copenhaver who passed away March 25, 2022. She is survived by four children: Scott A. Copenhaver Sr. and wife Debra M (Kemmerling) of Hummelstown; Elizabeth A Goodhart and her husband Ronald of New Bloomfield; John E. Copenhaver and his wife Lynlee (Reed) of Lebanon; and Paul J. Copenhaver and his wife Barbara (Freed) of Lebanon.
She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren: Scott A. Copenhaver Jr. and partner Catherine Chen of Elmhurst, New York; Emily (Copenhaver) Sechrist, husband Joshua, and great-granddaughter Adeline Sechrist of Tigard, Oregon; Michael Goodhart, Alexandra (Goodhart) Goodyear, her husband, Kyle and great-grandchildren Bennett and Lainey Goodyear of New Bloomfield; Morgan and Stephen Copenhaver of Lebanon; and Taran Copenhaver and girlfriend Izabel Blazzard of St. George, Utah.
Janice was a 1950 graduate of Lebanon High School, she was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon and served the church in numerous activities. Janice was a past Matron of Lebanon Chapter #115 of the Eastern Star and former Mother Advisor of the Lebanon Assembly order of the Rainbow Girls.
Janice retired from employment at Lebanon High School for 19 years as an aide and monitor; her nickname at school was “Mom” as all the students fondly called her. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and quilting. She was an avid reader and history buff. As a youth, she was a member of the Local VFW all-girls Drum and Bugle Corps and was the on-field lead Drum Majorette for the Lebanon High School Band.
Janice was active in the Volksmarch community participating in walks throughout the Eastern Seaboard.
A memorial service will be held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman St, Lebanon, PA 17046, Saturday, November 1st at 11:00AM preceded by a visitation at 10:00AM at the church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or the Wounded Warrior Project.
