Joan Susan Koompin

Born on May 25, 1938, in Oakland Ca. Joan is preceeded in death by her late husband Melvin Dean Koompin. Joan was a member of Mensa, a very talented seamstress, an artist, a restaurant entrepreneur, shared ownership of a hang gliding school, Anchored for news stations, campaigned for polititions she believed in and lived life to the fullest every chance she was given. Joan had a passion for the ocean and wildlife. She was also a four time breast cancer survivor and battled COPD for the past 25 years.

Joan is survived by her 3 children, sons Lester Eugene Deimler Jr. "Gene", and Frederick David Deimler lll, "Pooh", and daughter, Laura Ember Janovich, 2 grandsons, Frederick David Deimler lV, and Joseph Malachi Deimler.

Joan requested to not have services but to celebrate life every day and to be kind to one another.
