

John O. Stough, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 7, 2026, surrounded by his family, at the age of 72.
John was a loving, kind, and devoted father, partner, brother, and friend. He cared deeply for those he loved, and family was always of the utmost importance to him. Throughout his life, he upheld the values of love, family, and commitment, instilling them in each of his daughters.
John had many interests that brought him joy. He enjoyed a wide variety of music and appreciated its ability to move and connect people. He was a devoted Seattle Seahawks fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He also had a special affection for his cats, who provided him with companionship and happiness.
Above all, John cherished his family. He is survived by his three beloved daughters, Amy Stough, Katie Stough, and Jensina Thordarson, his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and his longtime partner, Anna Thordarson, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Lori Bauer MacGregor. John was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brothers, whom he loved dearly and with whom he is now reunited.
John will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering loyalty, and steadfast support of those he loved. As a devoted father and partner, he made certain that the people closest to him knew how much they meant to him. His love, guidance, laughter, and memory will live on through his daughters and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Although he will be deeply missed, John's love for his family will remain with them always.
