Hatched December 27th, 1939 in Shoemakersville PA, she was the daughter of the late Werner and Mabel (Weigle) Miller. Nancy was an amazing wife and mother who worked full-time keeping 5 unruly children out of trouble. These children still got away with too much. Though in fairness to her, she was blind in one eye and couldn’t see out of the other. She loved her family, travelling, playing cards and scrabble with her girlfriends, and generally being nixnuxy. And then denying any part of said nixnuxiness.
Nancy is survived by four children: Ann (David) Carbone, Dawn (Robert) Miller – with whom she lived until taking ill, Clark (Mary) Miller, and Jason (Heather) Miller; eleven grandchildren: Carrie Gumby, Andrew (Sarah) Carbone, Kaitlyn (Seth) Sticco, Laura (Jaime) Longoria, Kyle Roth, Christopher Hickey, Michael Hickey, Kristina Miller, Benjamin (Faith) Miller, Sofia Miller, and Emma Miller; great-grandchildren Michael, Ineshya, London, Enzo, Gage, Gemma, Gray and Eden; and many cousins, nephews and nieces that loved her just as much as any of us.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Roger Miller, daughter Robin Roth, great-granddaughter Illana Gumby; and against all odds; her loving brothers Werner Miller Jr. and Marshal Miller.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 27th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4331 Rodkey Rd. Harrisburg PA 17110 (a remote/zoom will be made available as well). Visitation begins at 11am, followed by the service at Noon. A celebration of life will follow at a location to be announced. Contributions in her memory are not necessary. Rather, show your love to each other with kind words and hugs. That’s what Nanabird would want most. Well, that and cookies. Snickerdoodles to be specific.
