Raymond A Weaver

Raymond A Weaver, 87, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Home. He was born February 25, 1938 to the late Daniel and Sarah Weaver, in Elizabethville, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Mahanoy Joint High School in 1955, where he was active in the music program. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy where he became a communications officer with the Naval Security Agency, and was stationed in Japan where he intercepted and deciphered Russian messages. After being discharged, he met & married Virginia Ellen Snyder. His work in the shipping industry brought them to Lancaster County where he lived the remainder of his life. He was very active in his church, serving as deacon and singing in the choir. Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ginny. Ray is survived by his four children: son Jeff Weaver (Beverly), daughter Julie Moore (Michael), son Jon Weaver (Jennifer), and a daughter Jodee Franco (Oscar). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Private services for the family.
