The daughter of the late Edward and Ruth Bird of Catawissa, PA.,
she was a graduate of Danville High School and the Central Pennsylvania Business College.
Ruth is survived by a brother, David of Catawissa; sisters, Thelma Fissel of Mechanicsburg, Jane (Jere) Brandt of Danville, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Paul, Oren, Howard and Fred; and a sister, Rheda Wintersteen.
Burial at the convenience of the family at St. John's Lutheran Church, Danville, Pa. Arrangements by Auer Cremation Services of PA, Inc.
