Samuel Joseph Casale, Jr., 64, of Paxtang, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at his home.
Born June 27, 1962, in Fort Sill, OK, he was a son of Mary (McEntee) Casale and the late Samuel Joseph Casale.
He was a graduate of Haddonfield Memorial High School Class of 1980, Colgate University with a double major in both theology and chemistry, and received his Master’s Degree in Biology from Shippensburg University in 2008. He taught science for the School District of the City of York.
In addition to his mother, Samuel is survived by his siblings, Mary Jo Kolaski (Gerald), Helen Casale (Bonnie Hoffman), and William Casale; nieces and nephews, Danielle, Stephanie, Melissa, and Kevin Kolaski, and Maxwell and Daniel Casale; his good friends and caretakers, Debra Moran and Timothy Derr; his foster grandchildren, Jahloni and Jahcere; his Irish Setter, Buddy Edward, and his black cat, Smoky.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, October 12, 2026, 11 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 200 Windsor Ave, Haddonfield, NJ, with the Reverend Jon Thomas as celebrant. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York Education Foundation or Humane Society of Harrisburg Area.
