Sarah W. Orndoff

Sarah W. Orndoff passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009 at the home of her daughter in York. She was the widow of George M. Orndoff who passed away July 1999. She was born June 25, 1930 in Waynesburg, PA, the daughter of the late Harlan K. and Ruth F. Watson. Sarah was retired from the Army and Air Force Exchange at Fort Indiantown Gap and was a avid crotchetier and knitter. She is survived by her daughters Rita McCue and husband Jack of Wampum, PA; Patty Orndoff of Pittsburgh, PA; and Marlene Eyster and husband Tom of York, PA; 5 grandchildren John McCue, Sharon McAllister, George McCue, Andrew and Christopher Eyster; and a great grandson, Brayden. Also surviving are a sister Edna Ruth Filer of Washington, PA and a brother, Hiram Watson of Waynesburg, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Sarah was preceded in death by a brother, Harlan K. Watson. Following cremation a committal service will be held Monday, Jan. 4, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Memorial Contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice, 218 E.
