

Terry Sneed, age 67, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away October 22, 2022. Born May 5, 1955, in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia, Terry was the son of James Sneed and Shirley Harper Davis. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Margie Harper of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Surviving are his husband of 21 years, Richard Williams, son Benoit Brandon Bindzi, sister Jamie and brother-in-law Gannon Bialeschki, nieces Carli and Chloe Bialeschki, aunts Kay Sullivan and Carol Meagher, and his husband’s brothers and extended family. In addition to his parents and grandparents, Terry was pre-deceased by his sister, Kym Francis.
Terry was a graduate of St. Louis University with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a master’s degree in Theater. He was a longtime member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society. He retired from a 35+ year career as a professional actor and director in 2005. Terry acted in regional theater, as well as film, television, television commercials and magazine print work. In addition, he directed theater and opera productions across the country and as an accomplished pianist, music directed many theater productions. He was a member of Actors Equity Association (AEA), Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). He wrote two award-wining plays, Precious Few and with his close friend Elaine Ferguson, Mole Hill (A Day in the Life of the Dead Sea Baptist Church in Mole Hill, Alabama). His greatest passion was reading, and he maintained a lifelong journal of every book read (Commonplace) with excerpts and reflections on their impact.
A memorial service will be held in Harrisburg on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., at Ridgeway Community Church of the Brethren, 525 N. Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17109 with Reverend Elizabeth Bidgood Enders officiating. Additional memorial services will be held in Chattanooga, Tennessee, St. Louis, Missouri, and Little Rock, Arkansas, in 2023 on dates to be determined.
