“Pops T”

George L Tobac Sr., age 82, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away on May 21st, 2026 surrounded by family. Born on December 17th, 1943, George had an impact on every person he met.

George worked as the transportation supervisor at Shell Point Retirement Community in Ft. Myers, Florida until his retirement. His previous years were spent at Childs/Ironage Shoe Company.

Outside of work George had a passion for NASCAR, classic cars, & a wonderful sense of generosity.

He is survived by wife, Marie Tobac; Children George (Dee) Tobac Jr., Anthony (Kimberly) Tobac, & Launi Kersten; Grandchildren Amanda (Alicia) Tobac, Kaitlin (John) Kuss, Martina (Jeffrey) Shelton, Emilee (Joshua) Butler, Jacob (Haylee) Pinkerton; and Seven Great-Grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at Hampton Volunteer Fire Department 2536 Duncan Avenue Allison Park, PA 15101 on June 6th at 3:00pm. All who loved Pops T are welcome to attend. GIDDY UP!
