

Nada Askew left this world on Sunday June 21, 2026 in Pittsburgh, PA at the Arden Courts Memory Care Facility. She was preceded in death by her parents Clayton and Eula Frank, and her beloved sister Karen Lee. Born in Salina, KS on February 1, 1942, Nada was a devoted mother, friend and artist.
She is survived by her children Nancy Askew Sheleheda (Michael) and Jason Todd Askew. She has three grandchildren Alyssa Rae Askew, Clayton Frank Sheleheda, and Andrew Michael Sheleheda.
Nada lived in Sandston, VA and Mechanicsville, VA until 2018 when she moved to Pittsburgh to be closer to her daughter. She loved life and appreciated all forms of nature. She was a talented artist and graduated from VCU with a degree in painting and printmaking, and never met a craft supply she didn't have to have.
She was a member of Sandston Baptist Church, the Uptown Gallery, and retired from the Virginia Urology Center as an administrative assistant. She will be missed beyond measure.
A celebration of life will be held at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W Williamsburg Road, Sandston, VA 23150 on Saturday June 27, 2026 at 1 pm.
