Susan E. Schmeltz

Susan was the daughter of James Robert Copeman and Ruth V. Copeman (Wallover).

Susan was preceded in death by both of her parents and her sister, Judith Ann Scherff (Copeman).

Susan is survived by her beloved husband Ronald Edward Schmeltz, Vietnam Veteran. Susan and Ronald were childhood sweethearts that married in 1969, and would be celebrating 57 years of marriage this year. Their enduring love was the foundation of a life well lived together.

Susan is also survived by her eldest daughter, Kerry Palladino, her husband Jeff, and two granddaughters, Lillian and Natalie. Her daughter Wendy Atkinson, her husband Matt, and two grandsons, Andrew and Jacob.

Susan’s greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved, creating memories that will be forever cherished . Whether she was playing catch in the surf, making s’mores around a campfire, hosting wonderful picnics, teaching her grandchildren to play poker, or making every holiday feel magical, Susan had a special gift for bringing people together. Her warmth, laughter, and love turned ordinary moments into treasured family traditions.
