It is with profound sorrow and much love that the Church family announces the passing of Donald Charles Church, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Donald passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on June 27, 1947, in Oneonta, New York, Donald was a man of integrity, hard work, and compassion. He served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and lived a life guided by kindness and quiet strength. Donald was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether repairing something at home, offering heartfelt advice, or simply sharing a laugh.
After his military service, Donald built a life rooted in family and faith. He shared 30 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Eppie, and took immense pride in his children—Dannielle, Junior, and Conrad—and his grandchildren—Harmony, Annabelle, Charles, and Avi. He taught by example the values of humility, resilience, and unwavering love.
Donald was also deeply devoted to the family farm, where he spent his days tending the land and caring for the animals that brought him quiet joy. Among his favorite companions were a cow named Steak and a cat named Bear, reflections of his gentle nature and unmistakable sense of humor.
He will be remembered for his warm hugs, his steady presence, and his quiet humor that could brighten any room. Donald’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched and in the love that continues to surround his family.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and a community of extended family and friends who mourn his passing and celebrate the life he lived.
Rest peacefully, Dad. You were deeply loved and will be forever missed.
